Here it is! The first completed doggy bed!

Made from 100% Hemp fabric, hand printed with water based inks and hand sewn. These are luxury dog beds made with love by me and my mum. They are top quality, filled with buckwheat hulls that provide support and comfort for your favourite pooch, road tested by Clive himself. Hope you like them. Available soon on etsy.

Doggy Beds a go!

I've got the fabric, the ink, the stuffing, the patterns are sorted and the colours mixed and ready......bring on the dog beds.

Ok, I'm hitting the holidays running and want to get lots and lots happening in the way of dog beds, tea towels and cushion making. The cushions are all printed and waiting to be sewn up, the tea towel screens are in the process of being made and the blank 100% hemp tea towels are on there way.

So today we began on the dog beds. I hand mixed four funky colours all ready to print with and cut all the fabric ready for printing. The fabric is 100% hemp (sustainable, eco-friendly, antibacterial and natural).


I started with the logos.

 


Then used tape to create the design.

And here is the finished fabric.

Here's the logo for the "Comfort for Clive" dog bed range. I'm pretty happy with it, quite cute I think! Pretty busy with my real paid job at the moment but am slowly getting some stock produced and aim to have a market stall or two by the end of the year. Some busy weekends and holidays ahead but it's exciting.

Comfort for Clive

I have decided to combine two of the things I love in life....Design and my dog Clive! How will I do this you ask? Well I have decided to make some funky designer beds for dogs.

The print will be simple yet bold and contemporary.

The fabric all natural 

(hemp is the plan at this stage, but the prototypes are in cotton).

The filling - still deciding on this but obviously comfort and durability are key.

I have finished making the first two prototypes today and am super happy with them and so is Clive. I have not been able to get him off it. Not sure if it's the comfort or the cool design but he loves it.
